Frequently Asked Questions

What are the entry requirements?– You are required to hold the Dandelion Level 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Coach to apply for this course.

How much time do I need? – We advise leaving yourself at least 25 hours a month. However this will vary on learning style and speed. All modules build on one another, so you will take time to digest everything.

What are the learning materials like? – You will receive a printed manual which contains all course resources, and allow you to make notes, complete activities and review content. The materials are also online and can use text to talk features to read them to you.

How many parents do I need for practice hours? – You need 2 parents who will complete your case studies with you over a minimum of 6 sessions.

Is there a timeframe  for submission of my work? Yes, students are required to submit their case studies within 6 months from the date of their final coursework submission. Where a student is unable to meet this deadline due to extenuating circumstances, they must complete and submit an Extenuating Circumstances Form for consideration. If the 6-month period has passed and no approved extension is in place, a marking fee of £197 will be charged for assessments submitted outside of this timeframe. Please note that late submission without an approved extension may also delay certification until marking can be completed.

What tutor help do I get? – You have access to your tutors live in the online class, access to a group chat to stay connected to your peers and email access to trainers for questions. You also have two 1:1 mentoring sessions to support you with your personal and professional development.

What if I cannot make a class on my course? If you cannot attend your class session within your course dates, you are able to make up the session with another cohort. Please be aware that you must submit a classroom variation form to attend an alternative class. In some cases this may delay receiving your certificate as all classes must be complete before your certificate is issued.
