Children’s Activity: Snowflake Breathing

Teaching children breathing activities has multiple benefits:

  • Stress reduction
  • Calm the mind
  • Slow the heart rate
  • Reduce blood pressure
  • Taking a pause before responding
  • Increase oxygen levels
  • Reduces tension in the body

Teaching children how to slowly engage breathing techniques and practice them regularly supports them to relax and respond more constructively when they are feeling overwhelmed.
