Children’s Activity: My Mental Health Plan

Whilst outside factors may influence our mental health, our levels of self-esteem and resilience influence the level of impact that this may have (child dependent). Therefore, the earlier we can support children and young people to take steps to have positive action in their own well-being is an important life skill for all children.

Taking time to explore the different parts of mental health can help significantly, in terms of well-being, mood and health. This includes:

  • Physical health
  • Emotional health
  • Intellectual health
  • Social health

My Mental Health Plan

This week’s activity is therefore a simple mental health plan that we can share with children and young people and explore ways that they can take positive action towards their mental health management. There are two sheets, both a planner and an ideas sheet (not exhaustive, children often think of great ideas!)
