Sensory activities have many benefits:
- They develop motor skills such as coordination
- They support language acquisition

- They calm the central nervous system
What does it include?
Sensory activities can include:
- Playdough (plain, scented, coloured – find our recipe here)
- Sensory baskets
- Exploring malleable play (cornstarch, shaving foam, slime, ice, dried pasta…..)
- Sand play
- Water play
- Popping bubble wrap
- Finger painting
- Fidget toys
- Calming bottles
- Bubble tubes
- Sound tubes or rain makers
- Cloud dough
- Kinetic sand
